Billie Eilish Has Got A Lime Green Mullet And We’re Confused

2 min read

So… is this here to stay?

We expect a lot from our favourite celebrities.

We need them to set the next season's fashion trends, deliver the best in music and film, and give us inspo for our next summer haircut.

But, if we don't like what they do, we judge them to no end - it’s all very fair.

Take Billie Eilish. She’s talented, she owns her look, and we love her for it. Until now, because our girl is sporting a brand new hairdo and we don’t know how we feel about it.

Specifically, a lime green MULLET. But, before we start criticising Billie Eilish's new haircut, let’s chuck a u-ey.

Yes, we know, Billie is sporting a mullet and it's concerning but it's not her fault. We repeat, it's not her fault. So pick up your judgey wudgey bear and put it back on the shelf because it's time for your inner Care Bear.

Billie’s new look - which she debuted at the LACMA Art + Film Gala is because of a hair disaster.

The singer clarified that she was not attempting to bring back the mullet during a casual airport chat with a TMZ reporter this week. She said that her “mullet” is just the result of a burning dye job gone wrong.

"You know what happened? Somebody dyed my hair and they burnt half of it off and now it looks like a mullet.

"That shit is not on purpose though."

And, for future reference, she is not keen to keep it:

"No, I’m growing that s**t out."

Who TF has she got dying her hair? Where is Jen Atkin when you need her?

"These past six months since filming have been a very unique experience."

"I can’t ask people to call me that; it just seems really pretentious.”

"He doesn't need an invitation."
