Filming For The Game Of Thrones Prequel Has Started And We’re Ready
"Taking place thousands of years before the events…"
Every minute that passes we get closer to the end.
The end of Game Of Thrones.
It’s okay, breathe.
Look on the bright side - we will finally find out who has one the iron throne. If it even exists under the rubble after Daenerys Targaryen’s pyromaniac episode.
Like many things in Hollywood, if something’s doing well producers will squeeze every ounce of sequel, prequel and all that’s in between out of it.
And for us Game Of Thrones fans, ten years just isn’t enough but don’t stress: filming has officially started for the Game of Thrones prequel, Bloodmoon.
Set 5,500 years before the fight for the iron throne begun, Bloodmoon will be centred around the Children Of The Forest who were the people who created the Night King.
HBO revealed the following about the prequel:
"Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend, only one thing is for sure: it’s not the story we think we know."
That backfired didn’t it?
VT reports filming for the prequel has begun in Belfast with a source revealing to The Sun:
"Thrones fans will be delighted to hear things have started with the prequel.
"Those working on the set in Belfast are referring to the series as Bloodmoon. Producers have put together a stellar cast and it will be must-watch telly for anyone who loves Game Of Thrones."
We don't have a release date yet, but Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse will lead the series.
