Pete Davidson Shuts Down Criticism About 20-Year Difference Between Him And New Girlfriend
“Apparently, people have a crazy fascination with our age difference.”
Last week Pete Davidson confirmed his relationship with Kate Beckinsale by playing a very public game of tonsil hockey.
This week he’s defended their 20-year age gap, and in an Saturday Night Live skit no less.
During SNL co-star Colin Jost asked if Pete had anything to share about a certain "girlfriend situation.”
“Oh, yeah," Pete said. “Apparently, people have a crazy fascination with our age difference. But it doesn't really bother us.”
Which is the main thing, tbh. If Pete doesn't mind dating an older woman, then power to him.
But Pete didn’t stop there.
“I'm new to this,” he confessed. Before adding:
“So if you have questions about a relationship with a big age difference, just ask Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Statham, Michael Douglas, Richard Gere, Jeff Goldblum, Scott Disick, Dane Cook, Derek Jeter, Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee, Alex Baldwin, Sean Penn, whoever the president of France is, Mel Gibson, Billy Joel, Mick Jagger, Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Murphy, Kelsey Grammer, Larry King, Larry King, Larry King, Rod Stewart and Donald Trump.”
Long story short: a lot of men, a lot of relationships, a lot of age gaps, Pete isn’t the first and he won’t be the last, and he doesn’t care so why should we.
