The Spice Girls announced a massive reunion tour this week - with one major omission.

Besides the fact they won't be visiting Australia, of course. (WTF!)

Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham was absent from the announcement, which saw the four remaining members break into a flawless acapella rendition of 'Spice Up Your Life' before confirming their UK stadium tour, kicking off in Manchester in June 2019.

The 44-year-old posted a sweet message to her Instagram confirming she wouldn't be part of the tour - while failing to address any reasons why:

"Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!

"I won't be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls."

The official reunion press release explains that Victoria is simply too busy managing her massive fashion empire:

“Because of her business commitments Victoria won’t be joining the girls on tour.

“But will always be one of the Spice Girls and remains aligned with Emma, Mel B, Melanie C and Geri in preserving their unique legacy.”

Sad news for Spice Girls fans - but we STAN Posh the fashion tycoon!

Back in 2008, Victoria told French Vogue she realised she was "finished" with the Spice Girls after the conclusion of their last reunion tour:

"The other girls spent time relaxing in bed, shopping and in the gym before heading off to the sound check,.

"I arrived with three kids in tow in a really tight dress because I'd been in meetings all day...I just wanted to be elsewhere."

She told A Spanish issue of Vanity Fair that her 2012 performance at the London Olympics - the group's last as a five-piece - was the perfect send-off:

"That was a perfect time to say, "That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more,'" she said. "Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party."

The Sun report that even though Victoria won't physically be on the tour, she'll still earn around £3 million ($A5.4 million) as she's a Spice Girls stakeholder.

Earning millions without having to actually step on stage? Now THAT is an incredible businessperson!
