Some Heretic Is Planning To Remake How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

I'm turning "frost yourself" into an insult.

What was once the hallmark statement of - what we now recognise as - OG f**kboi-turned-OK-bloke, Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey) in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, must now be turned around and used for evil.

'Cause they're talking about remaking/rebooting/re-getting-more-cash-out-of this gorg' piece of early 00s cinema.

And I've just about had it.

You see, PopSugar report streaming company Quibi as teaming up with Paramount TV for "a modern take on How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."

Yes another remake. We've already had The Lion King, Aladdin, Dumbo, Pet Semetary, MIB, Charlies' Angels and honestly, so many more.

We can have high-hopes as much as we'd like about the potential for originality; bringing Andie and Ben into in early 2020s is sure to bring some great stuff - do they meet on Tinder? Could Andie's job could be about buying fake followers for Instagram models now? Or could Andie and Ben reflect the glorious sexual spectrum we've come to realise exists in this world?

Maybe, MAYBE, we can watch this film and not have that weird feeling that we've already seen it.

Yeah nah. Apparently not.

Writer Guy Branum will be putting a 'new spin' on the story by following a "glib young online columnist and an oversexed advertising executive" who set out to prove that they're capable of being monogamous.

And with that please, go frost yourselves Hollywood.
