JOHNNY RUFFO BRAIN CANCER

Sadly, he'll have to undergo radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment.

We were shocked to learn last month that our mate Johnny Ruffo had brain cancer.

Johnny joined us this morning and revealed how close he actually came to dying and his journey back to health, which sadly isn’t over yet.

“I spoke to the neurosurgeon that did the operation… he said to me look, you know, if you hadn’t come in when you did you would’ve died that night. You would’ve had a brain aneurism and not woken up at all.”

The 29-year-old revealed there was a 1 in 20 chance he’d die from the operation on his seven centimetre tumour, which could have been growing for as long as 10 years.

While Johnny successfully underwent the surgery on the tumour, his journey back to health isn’t over yet.

He’s currently undergoing radiotherapy and will soon begin chemotherapy treatment.

In typical Ruffo style, he’s keeping an incredibly positive attitude.
