Seven people dead after shooting in Australia

In breaking news seven people have been killed in a mass shooting.

This includes four children. 

The bodies were found after police were called to a property in Osmington in Western Australia’s Margaret River region early this morning.  

9news reports there is a mass police operation underway.

But it is still very early in the investigation, according to Police Chief Commissioner Chris Dawson.

"It is clearly a tragedy.

"This will be a very large scale and detailed investigation.

“Based on what we do know, this is clearly a tragedy. Police were called to a rural property on the outskirts of this property at Margaret River.

“Upon arrival, police located seven persons deceased. Four children and three adults. The bodies of two adults were located outside, five bodies were located inside a building on the rural property.”

Commissioner Dawson said two firearms were found at the scene. 

Perth homicide detectives are helping local police in the investigation.
