A Star Is Born Almost Had A Completely Different Ending

You’ve had Shallow stuck in your head for months and you’ve watched A Star Is Born a million times, but what if the ending was completely different?

In LA, Smallzy spoke to Mark Ronson all about working with Lady Gaga for the soundtrack of the film, and he dropped a bombshell about the original ending of the movie.

Apparently, the original script was more faithful to the 1937 version of the film, where Bradley Cooper’s character takes his own life by drowning himself in the Pacific Ocean.

Mark Ronson says that it was this that sparked the inspiration for the song Shallow, where the lyrics are “I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in, I’ll never meet the ground”.

Mark told Smallzy about what it was like working with Lady Gaga in the studio, and how quickly they wrote Shallow.

He also opened up about his song Nothing Breaks Like A Heart with Miley Cyrus - which is one of our fave songs right now!

It turns out that Mark Ronson tried to work with Miley Cyrus for four years!

We’re so glad it finally happened though, as this duo worked so well together.

Mark’s new album Late Night Feelings is coming soon, and there has been a lot of speculation about who he has collaborated with.

Well, Mark Ronson confirmed some features to Smallzy, including the incredible Camila Cabello!
