There's A ‘Sesame Street’ And A 'Tom And Jerry' Live-Action Movie Coming

Call the Count, it's time to start counting down!

The next few years are looking pretty chockas with a long list of Disney live-action films in the works.

We've got Aladdin with Will Smith (a brand-spankin' new trailer was released today, don't worry it's better than the last), The Lion King with Queen Bey, plus Dumbo and talks of Mulan.

With all the success Disney is getting, Sesame Street wants to join in on the fun.

Well here it is muppets fans; everyone's favourite street is getting a live-action movie and Warner Bros. has set a release date.

Variety reports we can expect to see Bert, Ernie and the rest of the gang on the big screen 15 January, 2021.

Portlandia director and co-creator Jonathan Krisel will helm the musical, co-financed by Warner Bros. and MGM.

The film is set to begin shooting in June with Anne Hathaway as the lead.

Just to add more excitement into the mix, Tom And Jerry is slated to hit theatres on 16 April, 2021 and will be based on the classic cartoon series which was first introduced to us in 1940.

Neither films have a title yet but as long as Big Bird, Oscar The Grouch, Cookie Monster, and Elmo are there - we're happy.
